Shoreline is the school district everyone’s abuzz about living in — especially school-aged kids. (Yes, kids psyched about their schools – it’s a thing!)
All three schools serving Intracorp’s Towns on 145th community get “A”s from niche.com, and rank in the top 10% of schools in the entire state. Want high academic standards? Check. So many clubs and activities? Check. Great spirit and involved parents? Check. Here’s a quick snapshot of each:
PARKWOOD ELEMENTARY — NE 155th and Wallingford Ave N
Let’s start the kids out right. Parkwood is a newly rebuilt elementary school full of natural light, designed with almost 65,000 square feet of space for kids to play, learn and create. With classes from Kindergarten to the 6th Grade, 500 Parkwood students get to learn from engaged teachers who love nurturing young learners. There’s even a new Early Learning Center for preschool kids who just can’t wait to join Parkwood.
ALBERT EINSTEIN MIDDLE SCHOOL — 19343 3rd Ave NW
Albert Einstein Middle, serving 7th & 8th graders, is another Shoreline school that’s getting spruced up with an updated gymnasiums and a bigger, improved digital studio. What’s great about this school? Its top academic marks sure get noticed (yahoo, say parents) but it also has solid athletic teams (go Tigers!). For the musically minded, there’s STYLE — an innovative program where teens learn to write and perform original songs based on the books they’re reading in class.
SHOREWOOD HIGH SCHOOL — 17300 Fremont Ave N
Shorewood High gets A’s in Academics, Diversity and University Prep from niche.com. But it’s not all just textbooks and iPads — it’s also incredibly fun. Shorewood has 13 sports teams and over 50 clubs. Students can round out their high school experience wrestling, shooting hoops, bowling or by joining the school’s gymnastics, swimming or diving teams.
