Ahh summer. The sun is out, the days are longer, and people are heading outside to soak up the rays. And what better way to beat the heat than by enjoying a refreshing bubble tea? In Richmond, there are some great options. We spoke with a member of our Aalto Townhomes Sales Team who just happens to be an expert on where to go in Richmond to find the best of the best bubble tea (information acquired after many many taste tests – it’s a hard job, but someone has to do it!).
Here are her top recommendations for where to go and what to order:
YiFang – 1131 – 8328 Capstan Way, Richmond
What to order – Fruit Tea
Why – It’s so refreshing with real fruit. There are bits of passion fruit, apples and oranges slices inside. You can also adjust the sweetness which is a bonus.
Xing Fu Tang – 8311 Lansdowne Rd, Richmond (Located in theT&T Supermarket)
What to order – Brown Sugar Milk (Hands down the best)
Why– They stir fry the pearls right then and there! The fresh pearls are super soft, and they pour salty milk on top and torch the top layer. No other bubble tea place does this – it’s their signature flagship drink. It tastes like a marshmallow bubble tea!
Shiny Tea – 2340 – 4000 No 3 Rd, Richmond
What to order – Panda Milk Tea
Why– House made milk tea with two kinds of tapioca pearls (white/clear and black). The white ones are smaller, and they are delicious! The combination of the two pearls together make the texture very fun while sipping on the milk tea. The white pearls are not usually found at other bubble tea places.
Rainbulb – 8351 River Rd (Richmond Nightmarket)
What to order– Purple (Strawberry and Raspberry)
Why – This cool drink comes in a bulb jar that is reusable and has LED lighting! The lighting can be adjusted depending on what you prefer.
Bobii Fruitii – 157- 4800 No 3 Rd, Richmond
What to order– Uji Snow
Why– High quality Uji matcha that is freshly whisked. Their pearls have no artificial flavour or colour which is why it is clear! The strong matcha flavour is balanced out by the sweetness of the milk.
