What’s extraordinary about Belpark? The location; Belpark is just steps from over 133 acres of green space with Langara Golf Course to the north and Winona Park to the south. Nestled amongst the lush tree lined neighbourhood, these homes are set in a quiet location surrounded by greenery. We wanted to highlight some other extraordinary green spaces in the area that contribute to this great location. Below is a list of some neighbourhood parks to visit.
Winona Park
Home to a baseball diamond, playground and sports field, Winona park is just outside your doorway and a perfect spot for a stroll. Sheltered by large trees, this open field is perfect for quiet contemplation or conversation. If you are a sports fan, be sure to check out this park while it hosts a variety of sports and activities throughout the school year.
Queen Elizabeth Park
This 52-acre park is one of Vancouver’s best parks. A popular backdrop for wedding photos, Queen Elizabeth is the highest point in Vancouver and makes for spectacular views od the park, city and mountains on the North Shore. It is also home to the Bloedel Conservatory, a domed conservatory that is home to more than 120 free-flying exotic birds. Recreational activities at Queen Elizabeth park include tennis, lawn bowling, and pitch & putt.
VanDusen Botanical Gardens
Although not technically a park, the VanDusen Garden’s are an extraordinary destination in the neighbourhood to explore some greenery. Home to over 7,500 plant species from around the world, this garden is a great local spot to go for a stroll. Features include a hedge maze, pond, and seasonal vegetable garden. Be sure to check it out at Christmas when the gardens open for the annual festival of lights!
