You know a restaurant is going to be successful when the foodie press is raving about it… months before it opens its doors. That’s because food critics are betting that Autostrada will set the standard for high-performance Italian restaurants when it opens at 32nd and Main Street in East Vancouver later this month. Autostrada founder/chef Lucais Syme has cooked up pasta perfection previously at La Pentola and promises eight main course meals and a multitude of tasty appetizers and, this being Vancouver, outstanding vegetarian fare.

According to Scout Magazine, Autostrada will be able to seat 30 patrons at full capacity, including a short five-seat bar where craft beer, cocktails, and wine by the glass will be served. Autostrada means “freeway” in Italian, so you might want to roll up in a shiny new Alfa Romeo!
