At Intracorp Homes, we understand that the choices we make today will shape the world we live in tomorrow. We are committed to integrating sustainable practices across our organization in line with our company values: Caring for Others, Respectful Integrity, Results Through Effort, Collaboration and Creative Improvement.
When defining our sustainability strategy, we identified key stakeholders (including team members, homeowners and renters, investors, local communities, and contractors and suppliers) and completed a Materiality Assessment to support us in identifying, prioritizing, and managing our sustainability impacts. We used this feedback to shape our three Sustainability Priorities: to ensure governance for organizational resilience, make positive community impacts, and improve our environmental impacts.

Effective governance is vital to ensuring Intracorp is a resilient organization. We pride ourselves on having strong systems and processes that guide our behaviour and operations, which are aligned to and support our sustainability goals.
We have over 140 employees over four regions who are committed to making a positive impact in the communities we build in.
At Intracorp, we believe every team member has a valuable role to play in our sustainability strategy. Each team member has at least one job goal that is related to this important work.
We will continue to apply equitable hiring practices and ensure equitable access to professional growth. We have worked with external consultants to ensure we support every team member to succeed in their position and continue their growth through professional development and training opportunities.
We are focused on deepening our understanding of the impacts of our operations and our developments. Currently, Intracorp is collecting data in line with globally recognized sustainability standards to measure and track our environmental, social, and economic performance over time. This will enable us to set meaningful targets and develop effective strategies to improve our impacts.
At Intracorp, people are at the heart of all we do. Our commitments to our team members and our local communities are driven by our commitment to their wellbeing.
We have an Intracorp Foundation committee in each of our four offices. Each committee supports local organizations through grant making and volunteering.
Our extraordinary team members play a vital role in creating extraordinary homes and communities. We work hard to ensure Intracorp’s culture provides them with opportunities to grow, feel valued... and have fun! We do this in many ways, such as supporting their professional development, our Swag Store rewards and recognition program and celebrating wins and successes as a team.
We work in partnership with and support organizations local to our communities. Our teams organize fundraising events, host learning tours, and purchase from local businesses.
Beyond our philanthropic work, Intracorp’s communities have been designed to include many community benefits for our homeowners and their neighbourhoods. Our extraordinary amenities are designed to improve health and wellbeing, and range from public art to yoga parks!
Our industry is faced with the challenge of building much needed housing whilst minimizing harm to the environment. We work in partnership with experts to understand and improve our environmental impacts.
From providing transit passes to support our team members in a greener commute, to auditing our operational practices to identify improvements (such as better recycling practices and the elimination of plastic bottles), we are always looking for ways to make our operations more sustainable.
Our developments are thoughtfully designed to be future-proof and mindful of environmental impacts, from land acquisition through to homeowner occupancy. Each of our homes meets or exceeds municipal emissions targets and incorporates sustainable design. This may include undertaking climate resilience assessments, installing EV infrastructure, ensuring effective waste planning, the retention of heritage houses or the planting of new trees.
