Docente demonstrates a commitment to wellness in its built environment through various thoughtful design elements. For instance, the site plan promotes social interaction and a physical connection to the outdoor environment where homes with private courtyards front onto lushly landscaped paseos and connect residents and neighbors to the adjacent Old School House Shopping Center. A neighborhood park with outdoor dining, barbeques and open turf area encourages neighborly gatherings and pet play, examples of both social, physical, and mental wellness. Strategically placed windows and French doors allow light in, and porticos and loggias provide much needed shade during the sizzling summer months. Additional environmental wellness examples include Docente’s use of native, drought tolerant landscaping, and mixed-metal sculpture of a Yerba Santa, a plant with a history of healing powers, at the community’s entrance.

Aurum Apartments (Coming Soon)

Many examples of wellness are found at Aurum Apartments where amenities are designed to support socialization, cultural vitality, play and recreation. At Aurum’s pinnacle lays a luxurious rooftop sky lounge with entertainment pavilion, pool, spa, giant outdoor media wall, and a variety of indoor and outdoor games. These extraordinary amenities encourage residents to get outside and take advantage of the California sunshine.  Another Clubhouse can be found on the first floor and encourages social wellness with its chef’s kitchen, lounge seating, TV’s, fireplace, and intimate booth seating. Movie night, guest lectures, or reading an enjoyable book can take place at the sunken lounge, a retro-1970’s-style amenity set under a covered roof.

Our Eastgate townhomes are located in a highly connected suburb area located on the Eastside in Bellevue.

This community has been designed to think through all aspects of bridging community spaces to public access.  Art tiles placed in the stair risers will provide an attractive entrance from public sidewalks, bringing life to the landscape.  Carefully placed shaded outdoor seating areas and raised planter beds are located throughout to create individual sitting areas for people to enjoy, reflect, discover, think and work remotely.  Small outdoor rooms with fixed seating can accommodate social gathering areas for the residents.  Adjacent public walkways provide access to from home to the many walking trails and parks nearby.

By integrating elements into the design, we have created a space where our homeowners can embrace a wellness orientated lifestyle.

Motto by name embodies an idea of shared experiences and with a powerful sense of belonging. The community is designed to celebrate an outdoor lifestyle that encompasses both relaxation and engagement.

Varying spaces have been created to provide comfortable places for friendly conversation with a neighbor or to share moments with loved ones. It is a community with a design that feels stylish yet casual, where indoor/outdoor experiences engage and delight.

Spaces were created that could be used year around to gather, meet neighbors and peaceful spots to enjoy. With a natural setting in mind, you will find a walking path with a dry riverbed, nature inspired playgrounds, large and small gathering areas with firepits. At the clubhouse you will find the pool with shallow portions specifically designed for younger users, a spa and sauna that will be open all seasons and work booths in the lobby area.

Thoughtful design concepts were used to create an environment that will engage with our residents in how they want to live and find the amenities in a backyard living experience.
