The Sales team at Congress Lofts have been busy selling homes and taking appointments at our Sales Center! When you pay a visit, you’ll be sure to see their friendly faces. Jonathan, Annemarie and Liam make up the dynamic Sales team at this new community in South Austin.
Let’s get to know them!
What is your favorite business in the St. Elmo area?
Jonathan: The place I frequent most often is Spokesman Coffee because I tend to stay caffeinated!
Annemarie: Texas Sake as it’s a mix of two of my favorite places – Texas and Japan!
Liam: The Tesla showroom would be my pick as I am a big fan of the company and love to witness their forward thinking product & design.
What is your favorite design element of Congress Lofts?
Jonathan: The architectural aesthetic of the building was born from the industrial character of the district with inspiration drawn from old brick warehouse design. I love red brick and can’t wait to see the masonry components of the building come to life. The building will have a striking presence on South Congress, with its red brick façade and oversize industrial-style windows.
Annemarie: Kitchens are my thing, having been a professional chef in a former career so my favorite design element at Congress Lofts is the kitchen. Aesthetically the concrete style finish on the cabinetry leans into the industrial history of the area and top of the line performance from the Bosch appliance package is a major feature.
Liam: The opportunity to select between a “true loft option” and a traditional layout allows buyers to tailor their homes to their specific needs. Additionally, the quality of interior finishes and design is on par with downtown high-rise luxury.
Why do you think there continues to be so much growth in the St. Elmo area?
Jonathan: The development backstory of St. Elmo goes back to 2012 and the Imagine Austin comprehensive plan, which envisioned the South Congress corridor South of 290 as a vibrant mixed-use corridor. The development is intentional, and it is a wonderful example of a conscientious development plan that does not displace any existing residents. In essence, what has happened is a repurposing of industrial land, bringing underutilized sites to their highest and best use. The city is also investing in the neighborhood with plans for the CapMetro Orange Line and the Bergstrom Trail. These public infrastructure improvements alongside private commercial development, are working together to form a new hub of activity that will improve the lifestyle of those who inhabit the residential developments in the area (and the city as a whole). I firmly believe we are only seeing the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the potential for growth and future development in the area.
Annemarie: The St. Elmo area defines urban infill with equally easy access to downtown, the airport and fantastic shops and restaurants. Coming from NYX, it’s been amazing to be a part of the early and continued growth of the area. The increased density and collaboration I’ve witnessed between residential and commercial development in this part of Austin is a welcome sight. Having lived in the neighborhood for nearly 10 years not, the transformation is very exciting. So many people in Austin are now beginning to really understand the benefits of increased walkability and access to fantastic commercial support. The City of Austin has been working hard to bring this vision to fruition.
Liam: St. Elmo is a vibrant, mixed-use community that allows residents to experience an enhanced lifestyle through desired channels such as: easy access to commercial attractions (walkability), major freeways (commuting), and downtown Austin (lifestyle).
What do you like most about real estate and being on the Congress Lofts sales team?
Jonathan: I’m passionate about conscientious and sustainable infill development that improves Austin’s quality of life. As our city grows, dense urban development is needed to keep h
ousing costs down, reduce traffic counts, and connect people in urban pockets where we can live, work and play. Congress Lofts is an excellent example of this and I’m humbled and honored to represent the talented visionaries on the team that are helping bring it to life.
Annemarie: Making meaningful connections with people is my favorite part of working in the real estate industry. The best part of being on the Congress Lofts sales team is the team! Working with such dedicated co-workers every day with a great attention to detail and helping to bring this amazing community to fruition from paper and dirt to a thriving community is a thrill.
Liam: Helping people in the marketplace find their perfect space is a passion of mine and being a part of the Congress Lofts sales team allows me to follow my calling through a one-of-a-kind community. From world class design and architecture to the superb interior detailing, Congress Lofts can be considered one of the top communities to live in the greater Austin area.
