The Trout Lake farmers market has returned for the 2022 summer season. The market features over 60 farms, food producers and food trucks local to the Greater Vancouver region. Located only 4 blocks from the future site of Eastward, the market is easily accessible for building residents.
The Trout Lake Farmers Market provides a fantastic opportunity for Eastward residents and the East Vancouver community to grab a coffee and a bite to eat, mingle with friends, and shop sustainably.
The Market:
The farmers market runs from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm every Sunday until October 29th.
Location:
The market is located at the north parking lot of John Hendry Park at Lakewood Drive and East 13th Avenue in Vancouver.
Getting There:
The market encourages attendees to arrive via a sustainable transport method, be it walking, biking, or exploring transit options. The Commercial-Broadway and Renfrew SkyTrain stations are only a 15-minute walk away. In addition, bus routes 007, 020 and 009 service the Trout Lake neighbourhood.
Eastward residents can conveniently access the market via Victoria Drive. The market is only 3 minutes away via bicycle, or 8 minutes on foot.

Henry Aboagye & Michelle Son began roasting their own small batch coffee out of their desire for fresh, quality roasted coffee during the COVID-19 lockdown, which resulted in the founding of Mukasi Coffee & Co. All coffee beans are roasted in small batches to ensure bold flavours. Working with environmentally conscious coffee suppliers, their vision is to provide ethical, wholesome coffee in every cup.

Shameless Buns
Shameless Buns is on a mission to put Filipino cuisine on the map by showcasing dishes such as Chicken Adobo, Longaniza, Filipino Meatloaf, and Crispy Fried Spam. All items on the menu, down to the sauces and garnishes, are homemade, and the team behind Shameless Buns works with local vendors to ensure each dish is made from the highest quality ingredients. Their storefront is a Vancouver school bus reconfigured into a Filipino Jeepney, one of the most common methods of transport in the Philippines, and one of the country’s most iconic images.
