That is City Council’s vision for Metrotown as they establish it as Burnaby’s downtown, a premier hub teeming with office, retail and amenity space… and, of course, homes!

Your new home is nestled in the centre of the Maywood neighbourhood, described as “the residential ‘heart’ of Downtown.” While already known for its excellent transit links – just a stone’s throw from Metrotown SkyTrain station and the BC Parkway – even greater connectivity is in the works, with plans for improved pedestrian and cyclist connections in the area.

Its unique mix of urban and rural is part of what makes Metrotown extraordinary. It has over 235 acres of parks and more municipal open spaces are planned, including neighbourhood plazas and squares. Proposals for an events and convention centre, plus an adjoining art gallery, show that Metrotown will continue to be an exciting, premier centre for business, culture and social activity as it grows.
