Try out these fun ways around town to cool down.

1. Outdoor pools
What better way to enjoy a day off? Enjoy the slides and wave pool as many times as your heart desires.  Marco Polo, anyone?

2. Spray parks
Coquitlam has seven spray parks, including a top spot at Blue Mountain Park, which also has a playground and a wading pool for young tykes. Another popular choice is the spray park at Town Centre Park, which is also next to a skate park and playground, as well as outdoor table tennis and foosball tables.

3. Coquitlam Centre
This air-conditioned space is a prime cool-down spot from the hot summer sun. With over 900,000 sq ft of retail space, there is something to do, see and eat for every member of your family.

4. Movie theatre
With all the big-action blockbusters and cheesy rom-coms coming out, summer is arguably the best time for movies. If it’s too hot outside to do anything, move your party to the movie theater and have a relaxing afternoon!
