It’s all the rage to live ‘in the moment’ these days. But there’s also genuine brillance in looking ahead to the best area to live right now that’s going to be even better in the next few years.

That place is Shoreline — and that game-changing new amenity is the Link Light Rail Extension, which is now underconstruction and visible to all!

Imagine it — living within strolling distance of a new Light Rail station. Hop on and be downtown in 17 minutes. Or head to all the region’s hotspots, from the airport to the University of Washington to the city’s east side. No traffic. No stress. And all the time in the world to sip your coffee, clear your emails or dive into a podcast. Heaven.

The Link will extend rail service in an 8.5 mile, north-south stretch along the I5 between Northgate and Lynnwood. Shoreline will get its very own stop — within a short walk of Intracorp’s Towns on 145th — along with a 500-stall park and ride for even more convenience.

The new Link extension will open in 2024. But the transit expansion won’t stop there. Over the next two decades, Link will add 22 new stations and 50 miles of rail line north, south and east so riders can access even more of Puget Sound, car-free.

The Shoreline neighborhood is already attracting young professionals in droves. And the new transit line coming confirms its place as a future-proof community to lay down roots. What’s more? Homes at Towns on 145th come with garages so everyone still has the option to drive the open road whenever they please.
