Look out, Port Moody. Coquitlam has stepped into the brewery game. Founded in 2017, Mariner Brewing has become Coquitlam’s first brewery, and was welcomed with open arms by the community.
The brewery and tasting room took over a 3,000-square-foot space at Lansdowne and Barnet Highway to produce and sell unique flavours of craft beers. Their wide selection of beers can be purchased by the glass, flight, can, or growler to savour at home or in their 45-seat tasting room. When the weather gets warm, the large doors are opened and patrons can enjoy the cool breeze indoors or bask in the sun outdoors on an expansive patio.
You may notice the constellations of stars featured prominently on their products and in the brewery. The name and branding are a nod to NASA’s Mariner program and nearby Mariner Way, where one of the co-founders grew up. Their bold tagline, “Set no path. Never be lost,” is positioned on a main wall, and is both a conversation starter and Instagram star.
Only a short walk from Aalto Townhomes, our Sales Team is familiar with the brewery and have become fast fans of their beer and food menus. They recommend the mini charcuterie board washed down with the cream ale or strawberry rhubarb sour. But whichever flavour on the menu you choose, it’s sure to be tasty.
With Coquitlam Central station only a 10-minute walk away, it’s easy to organize a beer crawl from Coquitlam to Brewer’s Row in Port Moody, and get home safely.
