A relatively newer restaurant located on the outskirts of Marpole, Milltown Bar & Grill is a distinct neighbourhood bar situated on it’s own island in the Fraser River. With two unique patios on either side of their red-barn building – this restaurant is in high demand on sunny days. Owners Scott McVicker and Paddy Gallagher have been involved in the restaurant for 20 years. They pride themselves on the welcoming staff and affordable food
Customers can enjoy a view of the Richmond airport – watching the planes take off from one of the best spots in the city. Featuring a cozy and intimate dining spot, customers can also watch sailboats and yachts floating down the Fraser River while facing the Marina. As the weather is slowly improving, this is a great neighbourhood restaurant to consider for a bite to eat.
The menu at Milltown Bar & Grill includes local and fresh ingredients. Not your typical pub food, this local gem has a wood fire pizza oven and offers eggs benedict on waffles! The interior is rustic but contemporary with true west-coast decor. The refinished wood walls and local furnishings give it a warm and friendly atmosphere. Evenings are filled with live music, happy hour and various events that keep the place lively. Additionally, Milltown provides a free shuttle service to your home on weekends, so you can order that second beer without a worry.
And the best part? The Arbutus Greenway is an excellent route to get to Milltown; making it a great opportunity to hop on your bike and enjoy the sunshine.
