The proposed re-development of 1055 Harwood Street is the first rezoning project to be undertaken in the Burrard Corridor south of Davie Street, under the new West End Community Plan. The combination of market and non-market housing will work to enhance the existing community and support the local economy in this West End location. The development will incorporate a simple, modern and timeless architectural design with the base of the building responding to the existing and historical West End context while the tower will address both the existing high-rise building language in the West End, while also providing a new, contemporary visual expression.
